Brits Don’t Quit. Says Sir Winston Churchill according to this poster, which lables him ‘Founder of the European Union’. I’m sure some continental folk would like to dig one out on that one with the Brits.

Brits Don’t Quit. Except when they do.

Stupid thing is that when you Google the quote, you get smacked in the head with videos of David Cameron saying it in a final plea to make Britons vote to stay in the European Union, back in June 2016.

Britons said no.

And now they’re quitting. Or at least trying to. The stories on Brexit battle the stories on Trump in absurdity these days.

An 89 lorries long line which should have been 150 long, but 61 didn’t bother to show up) had to prove chaos would be held off when border checks on goods are reintroduced between the UK and the European Union.

Just that. Eighty-nine lorries prove nothing, except next level Monty Python absurdity taking hold of a deadly serious situation. And nobody seems able to say ‘End Scene’. So it perpetuates itself.

Brits Don’t Quit.

Seems Britons are clinging to another Churchill quote: ‘If you’re going through hell, keep going’.

Brits Don’t Quit.

Contrary to what this poster on Redchurch Street in London’s Tower Hamlets suggests, there is no online source that has Churchill saying these exact words. The person who did say it, besides Cameron, is Antiochus V.

Antiochus V is a Captain on the ‘Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury’ video game forum. He spoke these wise words on 26 January 2006, way before David Cameron.

In other news from Redchurch Street: James Dean is dead.
